Found by Steve S.; observed for a few minutes perched on goldenrod. Relatively small sparrow with small bill, orange eyebrow and buffy face and breast, crisp black streaking on breast and sides, brown-gray auricular spot, fine white median band on the crown, broad dark stripes on the back, whitish area on the tertials. Overall, nicely contrasted and crisp bird!
