A juvenile male cardinal was hidden in the branches of a thicket in my backyard. It quickly stepped into view as it vocalized, calling its mom for food. The adult female cardinal was at a bird feeder and turned around, reaching over to feed its young. After doing so the adult female cardinal returned to the feeder.
