I had very brief but pretty good views of this bird. the bright Rufus wings really stood out. Medium size sparrow, with no heavy dark streaking on the sides like the nearby song sparrows. broad light color supercillium. sides had buffy tone with faint streaks. back was streaked and also had some rufous color. it was in a part of the drainage where there was some standing water and a lot of dense vegetation. I waited around for a long time for it to come back out, but it never did. seen here: Lat/Lon: 35.377731 / -120.857387
