Lifebird #471, NYS Bird #322, Erie County Bird #281 Rare European Vagrant hanging at north end of the beach, near do not trespass sign, with BONAPARTE’S, RING-BILLED, and HERRING GULLS. Thanks to Bill Massaro for finding this lovely gull and keeping tabs on it for me, and others. Diagnostic red bill and legs and in non-breeding plumage. Seems to be present early and late in the day. It was there until sundown. A beach walker scared it out into the lake, but I assume it may return.
