Many, many downy-headed young out of the nest and flying, but still being fed by both parents! Very exciting to watch. Lots of grasshoppers being stuffed into the youngsters! Just incredible. I estimated that there were 4 distinct colonies, varying in size, along the Panoche Creek on the Panoche Valley Preserve.
