Dowitcher with unstreaked, grey face and breast, grey flanks with slight barring but not strong as in SBDO. White supercilium quite distinct. Tertials dark centred with light edging, and a touch of rufous edging near tips. Hunched, not flat, back. Feeding along base of west spit, on north side. Timing better for LBDO in southern Ontario. Later during observation the bird lifted its wings slightly while feeding and tail feathers showed more black than white.
