Detalhes da observação
While we were looking at a Least Flycatcher, a Yellow-bellied was calling non-stop in the same area. "Pseep" calls were heard at first which we mistakenly attributed to the Least that was flitting around visibly. "Pwee" / "tuwee" call also heard repeatedly from same area - brushed it off as probably a Pewee as there were several around at the time, but the call is shorter and less drawn out with a sharper, higher rise at beginning and sharper drop at the end. Gave three different call types which all match the spectrograms in Peterson field guide and North American Flycatchers field guide, and plugging the audio into BirdNet also favours YBFL. Never got a visual on this bird but it was hidden somewhere in the tree line eastwards of entrance into golf course. Audio recording attached. Gives pseep calls in first few seconds, many "tuwee" calls and one "peer" call at 45 seconds. Least Flycatcher also calls during the audio clip.
