Detalhes da observação
This one is interesting. Has many characteristics of Mexican Duck, probably a couple too many of Mallard. The tail coverts plus slight curl in central tail feathers probably point to some Mallard heritage and. White borders to speculum would probably fit within range Mallard (maybe MEDU as well). Slight "curl" or bend to central tail feathers, wouldn't rule out being MEDU (Mlodinow, ABA essay). Definitely well less than the regular "mallard curl". Seemingly heavier white border in front of speculum than behind, overall width could be within range of of either MEDU or MALL likely Rather uniform color below head and clean border to body contrasting with much paler head Tail is pale, not white as shows in comparison to white borders to speculum. Pale edges, dark centers shows in photo where tail slightly spread.
