Detalhes da observação
Continuing bird. Darker dull brown upperparts that contrasted with yellowish underparts. Brownish crown. A lot of rufous on the remige and tail. The tail seemed to have a pale/white edging, not sure if feather wear (which would be unusual for this time), or if it is just white edgings. The chin almost seemed blue/purple against the light when viewed in real life which faded out to a white chest into an even yellow wash from belly to undertail coverts. Much larger bill compared to the myiarchus found here, Ash-Throated Flycatcher and with a prominent hooked tip. Found at the end of the trip when we had lost all hope of finding it this second trip. Found atop the branch of a dead tree near the gated entrance to the riparian area on the railroad side. Unfortunately found right after a fellow birder, Scott, who was also looking for it had just left. Decent pictures.
