The Swainson's Warbler vocalized frequently in the undergrowth on the river side of the trail between Booty's Road Park and the Georgetown Dam Stilling Basin. I recorded its call at 7:30 am, 8:01 am, and 8:07 am.
Detalhes da observação
The Swainson's Warbler was first heard for several minutes and eventually identified by its vocalization in the undergrowth along the river side of the trail between Booty's Road Park and the Lake Georgetown Dam Stilling Basin. Eventually, a member of the Audubon field trip group of which I was a member spotted the Swainson's Warbler sitting on a branch and vocalizing. The Swainson's Warbler then flew to the opposite side of the trail and perched briefly, where it was photographed by Lee Wallace. A copy of that photograph, with Lee Wallace's permission, is shown below. It is my understanding that the Swainson's Warbler was observed by other individuals and photographed again later in the day. I also recorded the call of the Swainson's Warbler. Included below is a mp3 file of the Swainson's Warbler vocalizing in the undergrowth near the trail at 8:01 am.
