Chestnut-backed Buttonquail (male). One of Australia's harder birds to photograph, this male was spotted sitting on the side of the Victoria Hwy at about 8:30am on the morning it was photographed. It didnt move, had about three cars and one truck pass it, then I slowly approached, took some photos and it walked across the road and disappeared into the long grass. Elevation: 113 m. Date added to IBC: June 21, 2016.
