Notas sobre o média
A Striated Pardalote gleaning insects from eucalypt foliage. Striated Pardalotes (Pardalotus striatus) are widespread throughout Australia, and are only absent from the most arid habitats. This bird belongs to the western race, Pardalotus striatus substriatus, which occurs in central and Western Australia. Like other Pardalote species, Striated Pardalotes glean insects from the surface of leaves, often making their two-syllable ‘chip-chip’ call as they feed. This adult bird was foraging amongst the leaves of a Flooded Gum (Eucalyptus rudis) in the Lake Monger Reserve, just west of Perth in Western Australia. Elevation: 13 m. Date added to IBC: July 17, 2019.
