Male Spotted Pardalote was foraging in the crown of a Wandoo, Eucalyptus wandoo. The Spotted Pardalote, Pardalotus punctatus, is one of Australia’s smallest birds with a body length of only 9 cm. Pardalotes are foliage gleaners and are often hard to see despite their striking plumage because they forage high in the canopies of eucalypts.
