NOTES: There were 3 Pied Shag nests with, I believe, 2 nestlings in each appearing to be almost ready to fledge. The nestlings were quite vociferous. At 13 on the tape counter, an adult bird flew in to the nest and uttered brief calls. The nestlings responded and continued to vocalize. The nests were in a large willow-like tree at the edge of the estuary. Better without so much water and wind noise. Other Behaviors: Establish Parent Young Contact, Social Context: Family. Habitat: Deciduous Forest, Brackish Marsh, Brackish Shoreline.
