Detalhes da observação
Continuing rarity first reported by Phyllis Mansfield on Tuesday and relocated by Audrey Whitlock yesterday. A stunning little bird with a broad white supercilium and a bright white throat, suggestive of a Bahamian origin vs the darker throated Bananaquits of other islands. It first appeared this morning around 9am and gave a large group of birders some great looks at close range while it fed on the nectar of coral bean blooms just off the boardwalk. For a celebratory libation, I’ve chosen a beer that fully embraces the delicious flavors of the banana. Just like a trapeze artist uses precision timing so does Big Top Brewing Company with their Belgian Style Wit Ale. Trapeze Monk skillfully blends the flavors of wheat, coriander and local citrus, resulting in a wonderfully crisp and refreshing witbier. Belgian yeast impart this beer with esters that give a distinctive and delicious banana-like character to the palate, much like the typical style of many a fine German witbier. Cheers!🍻 https://flic.kr/p/257xRrL
