Detalhes da observação
Found by Ervin Olsen. An obviously large billed kingbird. My first impression was Tropical based on the length of the bill and this was confirmed by infrequent calling which I heard vaguely, others better and it was recorded. I was able to compare the calls directly with the BirdTunes App in the field. The head to the nape was grey, darker on the lores and behind the eye. The lower cheeks and throat to upper chest whitish. From the breast through to the undertail it was yellow, gaining in intensity through the belly before becoming paler around the vent and undertail. The wings and notched upper tail were dull brownish with clear pale edges on the coverts, tertails and pale edges to the secondaries. The back was dull with a slight greenish was. The legs, feet and bill were black. The structure of the bill was disproportionate to the rest of the bird appearing outsize. It was longer than it was broad at the base.
