Detalhes da observação
These could possibly be seaside sparrows. Many thanks to Rob Bielawski for trying to help me with the identification. The photos are poor but I include them to invite any other thoughts on perhaps ID these birds more specifically. Rob's comments were that they do have the dark body and yellow by the eye but its just not clear enough to call the species. As an FYI for folks looking for them, they were in the marsh grasses feeding on the seed heads so you could easily see the dark shapes. Quite active eating the seeds so lots of weaving with the grass stems. They were along the edge of the inlet just west of where the trail goes to the right (south?) of the Brock Center out to the edge of the marsh. Look across the water. The rails were nearby.
