First pair: Pair and a single downy chick (unbanded). Male is metal above, orange/dark blue split single band below. On right: orange flag above, one dark blue band over one yellow band below. Female is orange flag above, bright medium blue band over purple band; on the right silver above, purple band below. Chick spent time sleeping and standing with eyes closed, didn’t seem to be doing so hot. Male made new scrape, adults both hunkering down but not brooding / incubating, chick was often nearby but never was brooded despite temps in low 70’s/mid 60’s. Second pair: female with orange band above (not sure if there was a design in it or if it was solid), then red below: on right silver above, then nothing below. Male orange flag above then bright blue band over red band. On the right silver above, then purple below. They didn’t appear to have any chicks. Then further down the beach at least one adult and a bigger chick but we didn’t hike down that far to see bands
