Two Snipe working together along shoreline which I assumed first that they were Wilson's snipe breeding form but looked different so took a few videos to check later. Checked Sibley and noted that the Common Snipe of Asia and Europe occasionally visited Alaska. Studied the writeup in Birds of the World , compared the data with Wilson's and noted that one of our birds looked like typical Wilson's Snipe and the other appeared similar to Common Snipe. Compared our pictures of these two snipe with the few that had been reported in Alaska and found the one looked very good compared to the Common Snipe pictures from Alaska. Since these two species are very similar in appearance and the Common Snipe has never be reported in North America, I felt it was impossible for me to seperate and best it be left to the experts at ebird to see if they felt it was scientifically important enought for them to check out these pictures and decide if their was one Common Snipe observed in British Columbia. I have tried to seperate the one I feel appears to be a possible Common Snipe and entered and described them into the Common Snipe section. Our pictures were taken from our videos and ebird can see those if it will help them. No flight photos available. Wilson Snipe in all photos here would be the bird on the left. Bird on right would be Common Snipe. Last bird iwould be a potential Common Snipe
