Detalhes da observação
tentative. weird SY male in the park area directly west of the community garden. plumage resembles SY yellow-bellied sapsucker with retained juvenile plumage on head and back but also substantial amount of red on the nape as well as on the throat, bleeding well onto black malar marks. BoTW suggests that apparent red-naped sapsuckers that don’t acquire adult-like plumage past December may be hybrids with YBSA. Oscar Johnson said that this bird can safely be called a hybrid with YBSA, mostly likely with RNSA but also maybe RBSA -- see https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/199281370
