Detalhes da observação
All birds were travelling east to west across my field of view. In groups from 1 to 8 at a time. The majority were moving in groups of 2-3, but were passing by regularly. BRBO were much more abundant earlier in the first hour and then the RFBO almost caught up because of the larger groups later on. When the light was getting low yesterday, there was a big pulse of birds moving which is when the bigger groups showed up. This is when a couple of groups of BRBO passed by then. Because of the strong wind coming from the SE, none of the birds over the entire time I was watching were not foraging, they were simply moving straight past, clearly on a mission to get to what I assume was an evening roost. I was ID'ing the BRBO as having that distinct line on the upper chest with the head and back, top of wings and tail being chocolatey brown, contrasting with a solid white lower chest, and the underside of the wing had significant white which again contrasted sharply with a dark brown border. I did see a few what I thought were brown morph RFBO but was uncertain if I was ID'ing those correctly so didn't include those birds in my totals. I did see some immature RFBO in the larger groups of RFBO at the end of the evening, where there were white and black adults with white tails and whereas the young were kind of a tawny brown.
