Detalhes da observação
*Rare (listed under this species given likelyness it's a PAWR but will change if more evidence comes to light it might be a WIWR). Sweet! Rare on the valley floor, especially this early in the fall. Initially heard giving short trills from along a riparian area at the edge of parking lot R at (38.789799,-121.216164). I blanked on what this calling bird was for several minutes before finally getting a look at it. Clearly a PAWR/WIWR (quite dark overall, very short tail, extremely sulky) but I am slightly concerned about the possibility of WIWR. My looks were poor, but it appeared pale throated and there may have been some white speckling in the scapulars. Sadly it never called with chimp type notes, only trilling, and I had to leave soon after. A great bird for campus!
