Detalhes da observação
Clearly either a Warbling Vireo or a pale Philadelphia. The bright sunlight and shade don't help. Points in favor of Philadelphia: Strongest yellow appears to be in the undertail and breast; pale flanks; eyeline is darkish and extends into the lores. Philadelphia is also the likelier candidate: more common in this area (although still rare) than Warbling, and most reports occur precisely at this time of year: late September-early October. On the other hand, you would expect more yellow in the throat. Individual variation, and possibly some photographic artifact as reflected light washes out the color there? Based on these photos, several expert birders concluded Philadelphia, and I think a preponderance of the evidence supports that. In the treeline at the western border of the field on the left of the entrance road.
