Slight low end filter due to lake noise from north wind.
Detalhes da observação
After hearing a recording forwarded to me that Matt P. made earlier today, I headed out to meet up with him at the park. After 15 minutes, I heard a couple of suspicious nasal caws from a small crow being chased by an obviously larger American Crow. Darrell and I wandered around a bit and we were alerted by a short nasal caw from a bird that landed about 25 feet up in a walnut. We photographed this bird, which was clearly smaller than the crow that had chased it into the tree. It disappeared but, later, it called and landed near us where Matt, Bill, and I could look and listen at leisure. It called a few times where I was able to get a recording. Upon playback, it called vigourously, the feathers on its throat flaring out distinctly. It appeared to have a bit of a shiny sheen to the wing coverts.
