Relatively low-contrast Empidonax wagging tail in phoebe-like down-up manner and giving an occasional dry, Audubon’s Yellow-rumped Warbler-like “whit” call. Longish, relatively narrow bill, dusky upper mandible and dark-tipped orange lower mandible. Faint, pale “unibrow” across forehead. Tail shallowly notched when folded. Least eliminated by voice, bill and tail size, lower-contrast plumage. Hammond’s eliminated by voice and bill size. Dusky eliminated by bill color and down-up tail-wagging behavior. Last seen sallying from bare bushes along the fence line at the southwestern edge of Clark Centennial Park between the park and the YMCA garden (40.1758093, -105.0869044).
