Tufted duck hybrid. NW inner pond. Short tuft and greyish-looking vermiculated back. Will add a couple of shots tonight. Extremely misty out so visibility is very limited. Btw, second bird also looked possibly a hybrid but less obvious. Had same pronounced line between back and whitish sides but no tuft and much lighter back.
