Managed to pick a few insects off of the parking lot.
Detalhes da observação
Photographed. First found when I decided to move down to the far end of the parking lot above the dam to check a group of cormorants for NECO and noticed a bird walking around at the end of the parking lot. As soon as I got it I knew it was a Sanderling so I rushed to the car and grabbed my camera and took a few photos. Large peep type sandpiper molting out of alternative plumage with some rufous and black patterning remaining on the neck, wings, and head and pale grey plumage coming in. Completely white belly. The bird walked around the parking lot for a couple minutes before flying to a pile of trash against the wall of the dam. I last saw the bird on the floating trash. Better photos to be uploaded soon.
