Detalhes da observação
Unusually dark and long-billed pewee, but not Dark Pewee, as that species tends to be more slaty-gray than dark brown, and tends to have a bigger crest (more Greater Pewee-like, which this bird wasn't). Overall plumage quite worn, possibly from a long journey. This could be an unusually dark and drab Western or even Eastern Wood-Pewee, as good numbers of them seemed to be around, but the bird didn't strike me as a good match for either. Not sure if a South American migratory Contopus should be considered (or if such a thing exists). Bird sallied from exposed perch to flycatch and came back to the perch, as Contopus typically do. The bird never vocalized. The crest seems to show a paler central area.
