Detalhes da observação
I first saw this bird through an opening of a leafy shrub near Creek Ln & Tram Rd, a large flycatcher with dark brown head and lemon yellow belly. it kept hopping deeper into the shrub showing its brown/rufous tail feathers and quickly disappeared. after searching in vein around Arizona Crossing area, I came back and heard its "whip" calls. Following its calls, we found the bird hidden in tree on the hillside of Creek Ln. it did a few flycatches then sat still for about 15 minutes, in good views. overall it looked a lot like Ash-throated but with long and heavy bill, darker brown crest and less rufous tail (rufous extend to tail feather-tip, no dark line at feather-tip), gray face and lighter breast. rufous edges on folded wing. it then gave a few clear "whip" calls and flew away. first found by Rafael Ramirez 12/13/2019.
