Two Whip-poor-wills interacting with song and gurr and modified gurr calls at a distance of 7-20 meters at 0515. Recorder HPF on at 80Hz, -12dB/octave.

Several singing males in the area - at least 4 heard well. There were fewer singing males this morning than in weeks past. Still hearing vocalizations that might indicate breeding is still occurring here. The "rare" status for this species at this location should be re-evaluated. There is a very healthy breeding population here.
