Bird #1
Detalhes da observação
**Rare and high. Potentially four individuals. Both were initially heard calling "pip" which alerted us to their presence. I may have obtained an audio of one of these vocalizations. The birds were widely separated and foraged low to the ground in typical Trail's fashion. These were rather bulky empids with bright green back and crown. The white throat contrasted noticeably with grayish cheek. Eye ring thin but complete (at times rather conspicuous, but larger size and thick tail ruled out Least), a trait which would not be present in a WIFL. Underparts pale with yellow wash. The head was rounded or flat, unlike the crested appearance of WIFL. Bill was short and thick, whereas the bill of WIFL is considerably longer. Long primary project in comparison to typical Willow.
