The Bai is still full of elephants. They've been calling all night long. Fog settled on here late last night. And now, the light that is here already is all soft and diffuse around the edges. So the trees across the clearing are blurred. But I still see the dark shapes of the elephants out there. And I hear them. (1:20) 1:20- Ambi. Insects humming. Levels change around 3:15. 4:45-5:07 Good bird calls over ambi. 5:50-6:15 people moving around on the platform. 6:20 FX zipper pull. 9:38-9:44 FX low rumble. 9:48 FX water splashing. 11:12-11:15 FX water splashing. 14:07-14:45 movement, zipper pull, feedback. 15:36 FX elephant sloshing through water. 15:48 Stopdown 15:48 ambi. Fly buzzing around the microphone. Bill does a mark. 16:10-17:30 ambi. Cacophony of shrieking birds in the distance, but not right near the platform. Then the birds come closer, fly overhead, making quite an uproar. Meanwhile flies buzz continue to around the microphone. 17:34-18:40 Bill and Alex discussing stuff in a whisper, about the microphone, shuffling things around, zipping bags. 18:45-18:57 Fly buzzing around the microphone. 19:03 stopdown. 19:20 mark. 21:15-21:46 good ambi. Interesting bird calls, no flies buzzing around the mike. 23:49 stopdown. 23:50 restart, mark. Mike handling. 24:20-24:24 FX birds taking off, wings flapping. 24:42 FX elephant call. 25:30-29:56 good ambi. Birds making a swooping call, like a tin penny whistle.
