NOTES: Two birds calling and singing at dawn from a large tree at edge of Saleiro [09¡ 36' 05.4Ó S, 55¡ 56' 11.8Ó W, 245 m]; the first bird was 75 m away and high during initial part of recording, then 25 m up and 30 m away in the second and third parts; I switched birds as noted during the third part of the recording; this is all natural song; I never saw either bird but Graeme Wallace saw one of the birds singing while I made the first part of this recording; just getting light at end of third part of recording; mostly clear but quite hazy, calm, mid-70s [= RCR137-139; GPS coordinates in file #RCR100]. ML: Background subject changed from recordist's original identification of Xiphorhynchus guttatus eytoni to Xiphorhynchus guttatus [eytoni Group] to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 1.55). -Jay McGowan/Matt Medler, July 2015.
