Edited to diminish overlapping Cardinal sound (courtesy Bob Zickus).
Observasjonsdetaljer
First heard songs from two different individuals (overlapping at times) then saw one as they worked the tree line between the Aquatic Lab ponds and Lake Hartwell with a mixed flock including Blackpoll and Yellow-rumped Warblers. Small warbler with clean white belly extending under tail; black streaks on flanks just under the folded wings and projecting toward throat forming a thin partial black necklace on white throat (no yellow). Bird turned a few times, giving views of gray-blue upperparts accentuated by two rather bold white wing bars. Multiple audio recordings taken. Three-part song (sometimes sounding as if only two-part)--a Norther Parula-like buzz but three increasing stair steps in frequency, ending on a very high pitch with no snapping off at the end like a Parula. In first attached recording, Cerulean Warbler is the higher-frequency, ascending buzzy sequence mostly overlapping with the Cardinal. First two attachments are the raw recordings. Last two were edited to diminish the overlapping Cardinal sound (courtesy Bob Zickus and Gary Harbour, respectively).
