Observasjonsdetaljer
Photos. Flew to the east until I couldn't see it. It was sitting in the water to the Northern edge of the lake while I watched it from the western shore at the boat launch. I watched it for about 8 minutes through my camera and my scope as it washed itself before it flew off, circling around the surface of the lake for a few minutes before climbing really high and flying towards the east until it was so far away I couldn't see it, even through my scope. I'm pretty confident on the ID of Parasitic, even though I have no experience with Jaegers. Seems like Pomarines have a lot more black on the bill, and this bird doesn't have the coloration of a Long-tailed at all. If it helps, there are some pics with a few Grebes in the background which might help with size comparison.
