Very poor photo via small digital camera held up to a 30x spotting scope. Shows the very white appearance of this individual, particularly the underside and the face.
Observasjonsdetaljer
Previously reported, continuing bird. Easy to spot in 30x scope on the mudflats to the left of the observation area (trail off Penny Road). Two-car parking area bordered by stones, just south of the Penny Road bridge that crosses Lake Wheeler. The Wilson's Phalarope was very white underneath, with yellow legs, white on the face, and grayish on top, darkening gradually to the tail. It foraged near a Killdeer and a Spotted Sandpiper, so I could compare its size. The Wilson's Phalarope was constantly moving on the left mudflat, foraging along the water's edge, sometimes getting into the water. Thank you to everyone who gave instructions and provided photos on ebird!
