Immature(s). First seen on Red Lighthouse Breakwater keeping low on far side so the crown of the concrete blocked view of its wingtips, but it was uniformly buffy with an all-black bill. All birds from there flushed (a dozen Mallards, 4 Great Black-backed Gulls, 175 American Herring Gulls, & 3 Double-crested Cormorants had been there), perhaps due to a Mink walking the entire length carrying a fish. I did not see the Iceland Gull in flight, but later (both from the Swan Pond trail) I found one alone on the lake E of the Red Lighthouse & swimming E. This bird then changed direction & I got a distant digiscope photo at 1229, & then it bathed. At 1304 scoping NNE from the dock I got a much sharper digiscope photo of an immature Iceland Gull, which also appeared whiter, but this may have been due to it being in a brief patch of direct sun. At 1417 looking N from the dock I digiscoped an immature Iceland Gull which again looked buffy, which may have been due to clouds blocking the sun again, and this bird also bathed & spread its wings, both of which I photographed.
