This call is made by both adults when they are at the nest site. The nest is not yet built. One adult would survey the area and fly to the nest site. After scanning everywhere, it would give a regular call to its mate. The mate perched nearby, promptly comes in and takes the position where the future nest would be. After that, both the adults engage in this duet. The duet is is gentle and while singing this, they look upwards with their beaks open. Fascinating. They appear to discuss about the nest site because the pair is already bonded. I have been noticing this failed attempt of nest building since 2 years.

A pair trying to nest inside my home for past 2 weeks. It tries to place the small sticks but they fall off.
