NOTES: See Lesser Golden Plover Cut 11(Reel 2) Assorted tick notes and wing sounds 0.10 - 0.28 0.44 - 1.10 4.04 - 7.25 *Notch @ 850, 1550Hz due to hum. HIF @ 75 Hz. [I am somewhat unclear which calls here were given by the Tryngites, but it appears that this species gave at least some of the soft ticking calls (e.g., 0:24-0:26, 0:495-1:02, 2:55-3:02 (possibly), 3:225, and 3:51-4:00 - the last set the BEST). I am less certain about the tern-like, "churk" calls at 0:51, 3:20, 4:29, 4:30, 4:325, 4:34, 4:375, and 4:38 (BEST part at 4:29-4:385), but these do appear to match the description of the "churh" call refered to in the BNA account (though it is spectrographically more similar to Figure 3C than 3B in the account [??]). NOTE that only a portion of this recording seems to have been copied, because the total length is only 4:48. Quality added (3, 2 - calls are generally quiet and obscurred by other species) - CAM - 18 February 2005]. Habitat: Pond.

Additional species

  • American Golden-Plover Pluvialis dominica
  • Stilt Sandpiper Calidris himantopus
