Observasjonsdetaljer

Bright, upslurred "whit" calls with a vaguely Barn Swallow-like quality. Robust Empidonax flycatching in the large weeping willow tree at the mouth of the inflow on the south side of The Pool, mostly silent, but with one brief bout of active, insistent calling. No songs. Heavy, slightly hooked bill and drab plumage. Photographed the bird that was calling. Audio attached, though with the usual caveats about background noise in Manhattan.
