Observasjonsdetaljer
This bird was feeding close to the mud bund away from other wagtails and plovers. Media - both photo and audio - uploaded for verification along with a sonogram comparison of an audio upload from Thailand. While it looks Eastern by call and features it is not a typical plexa (similar to thunbergi) but more like macronyx. Match -------- 1) No white supercilium 2) Partial olive wash either side of breast (yet to develop as a band?) 3) Bright Olive green back 4) Black Legs 5) Dark Tail with white outer rectrices. 6) Greyish Black Bill 7) Darker Eyes 8) High pitch call (recorded and added) Not Matching or Partial Match ---------------------------------------- 1) White wing bars are missing 2) No brown spots on breast side 3) Ears are not fully dark 4) Under parts are dark yellow but not fully developed The above listed missing/partial plumage features is most probably due to this being an individual in molting. The details point to a molting male macronyx (Motacilla tschutschensis macronyx). To be on safer side keeping it as just eastern and not adding an ssp. for this observation.
