NOTES: "Identification by Dr. Steve Russell; These Calls are apparently from a young bird, able to fly; SE Arizona" (WWHG) [This canyon is located on the east side of the Santa Rita Mountains at 31.7 degrees North, 110.75 degrees West. Good calls at 0:42-0:46, 1:02-1:05, 1:23-1:26, and 1:40-1:42. Quality changed from 2 to 2-1. - CAM - 23 November 2004] [The following was received from Dr. Richard T. Reynolds on 23 December 2004: "61215 is definitely the food beg of a fledgling accipiter. The food beg of a Cooper's hawk is weaker than a goshawk's. From this recording, it is difficult to decide which of the two species it is because the distance from the recorder (volume of the recording?) is unknown to me. My best guess is that it is a goshawk. The more that I listened to it the more I am convinced it is a fledgling goshawk."].
