Observasjonsdetaljer
Heard(s) and seen. Couple(s)*, vocalizing after PB., presumably from a small patch of Schoenoplectus americanus (syn. Scirpus americanus), wet soil, surrounded with Salicornia sp. and shallow water pools, next to cattail reeds. One adult individual was glimpsed, crossing between two reed patches (Schoenoplectus americanus) by making some sort of a small jump/flight like maneuver (ca. 20cm above the wet soil), “crake/small rail” shape, hanging legs, very small size (~13cm), when seen in short jump/flight, the wingspan was ca. 30 cm, brownish gray above, and dark below. Instantly after that maneuver, the bird remained completely out of view, and hidden into the reeds. Ssp. murivagans: Subspecies and/or taxon identified by location (there is only one subspecies in the area) and/or the taxon’s distribution range matches acordingly to the site. *Each couple means two individuals were seen together or heard close to each other at the same time and location, sexes look similar (most likely a pair). If there were more than one couple that means each couple was seen in a different location, if two couples or more were seen at the same time and location it will be specified. Audio recorded. *Thanks to Daniel Lane for the reference given, about the location.
