Observasjonsdetaljer
Just stunning and in strong light, it totally ignored me as it sallied then perched, sallied then perched. Normally it perches along the steep 'cut' along the public road where the Ringed Kingfishers once nested four or so years ago. It crossed over to the far side near the thick bamboo, where it was when I left. Quite often this female repeated a call (?) which was squeaky, much like the sound young Howler Monkeys make. (It seems strange that eBird does not recognize this as a rare or unusual sighting for Manabi Province, yet it still 'flags' observations of the Chestnut-headed Oropendola, which has been seen in Manabi many more times.)
