NOTES: (RRN: 90-20-08,14; Species Sound: infrequent; Breeding Status: territorial; Sound Delivery Rate: sporadic; General Climate: cyclic wet-dry; Cover Density: sparse; Temperature: 4-10¡C; Filtering: yes) Small metal plates have been placed on several larger trees about 10m off the ground on the trunk. The sapsucker flew from tree to tree in his territory drumming on the plates. *** I think my visual ID of Hairy on the voice is incorrect. BNA: Drumming is heard throughout the recording. CZ 04/03/2004. Other Behaviors: Bill Drumming, Advertise. Habitat: Forest, Coniferous Forest, Montane Grassland, Stream.
