Fotos. Aproximadamente a las 12pm observamos un chorlo perchado en un árbol seco en medio de una poza. La forma no cuadraba con Black-bellied, pues el pico era fino. El individuo estaba en la sombra, pero aun así se le apreciaba un tono crema, casi anaranjado. Esto me llamó la atención pues el American-Golden que he visto en Yucatán a golpe de vista se aprecia blanco. El chorlo se apreciaba con patas largas, zancón y con una mancha prominente en el oído. Tomé fotos de registro y traté de acercarme. El chorlo comenzó a activarse (antes estaba aparentemente dormido). Alzó el cuello, que se me asemejó esbelto y delgado, de apariencia delicada. Al acercarme mas pude apreciar con los binos tonalidades amarillas muy marcadas en su plumaje y ligeras en su cara. Al final voló hacia una orilla distante sin emitir llamado. Regresamos a las 2pm y lo localizamos de nuevo en el árbol seco. Estaba muy a contraluz pero pude tomar otras fotos donde se aprecian las patas largas y que las primarias aparentemente no excedían mucho de la cola. Tenía plumas torcidas y desacomodadas, así que no pude verificar si se vislumbraban 3 o 4 "primary tips". Aun así, por la coloración amarilla en general pensamos que es PGPL. La poza donde se encontró este individuo esta aproximadamente a 1.6 km del inicio de la recta del camino que te lleva al Castaño (a mano derecha viniendo de Mapastepec). Hay una reja que dice "rancho el potrerillo". Al día siguiente (13 de enero) ya no estaba en esa poza.
