Kommentarer

Type 6 red crossbill "toop" calls. These are different from flight calls. Pygmy nuthatches, red crossbill wing beats, and camera sounds are also audible.

Observasjonsdetaljer

Recorded type 6 toops and flight calls, also photos. Monstrous bills. Additional type 6 flight calls are visible in the spectrogram in the white-breasted nuthatch recording ML45092931. Comments with that recording identify type 6 calls in at four times in that recording. Even more type 6 flight calls are visible in the recording for type 4s above (ML45097701) and in the screen grabs extracted from that audio file (also shown above). Type 6 confirmed by Matt Young at the Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology.
