Various calls from a group of 71 birds in a cornfield. Several bouts of loud calling, first segment just as I started recording as birds called from field, last segments as whole flock took flight in response to my presence and split up to circle around. In between are several segments containing softer rattle calls but mostly very soft, multinote calls apparently given by the birds as they foraged. These calls were very soft and it was difficult to tell which birds were giving them (it took me a while to convince myself that they were in fact being made by the cranes), but they seemed to be giving them almost constantly.

Observasjonsdetaljer

**High! State high count for eBird. Exact count of birds in field on both sides of the road, 71 in group on north side, 24 in two groups on south side. Giving loud calls occasionally and soft, twittering calls almost constantly as they walked around and foraged.
