Shikra was in a mood of a hunt. This juvenile shikra was perching in a thorn which is a usual perch of white throated kingfisher pair. when the kingfisher casually fly low to perch in that location, shocked to see a shikra is perching there. suddenly it glided upwards and started screening with its alarming call. then the KF alerted all birds in the wetland nearby the shikra by flying in circular path centering the shikra. Grey heron got alerted, fulvous whistiling ducks immediately took off, grey headed swamphen stooped searching food and starring at the shikra. Later both KFs yelling at shikra with their cacophony calls. now Shikra decided to leave that location and flew southwards and perched in another bush.
