Wings shorter than the tail.
Observasjonsdetaljer
Probably a female RTHU. Green back. Wings with pointed wingtip. Tail equal to or longer than tail in most of the photos . White throat. "Dingy", grayish wash on flanks//breast/belly. Slightly de-curved, thin, short, black bill. Grayish-green crown. Bird came to the front feeder three times but only stayed less than a second each time. It was very "flighty" and "twitched" near the feeder. It flew up to tree in front where the photos were taken. Probably not seen again. Poor photo conditions when photos taken around 9:06 to 9:13 a.m., with light rain soon after. The poorest images are included to show general shape and bill. My initial analysis of female RTHU, which would be the farthest west RTHU in Texas in January (nosing out the Falcon Dam record), would be a great find. This bird's relatively thin, short, de-curved bill would be more fitting on an immature male RTHU. Wings too pointed for BCHU. Two lightened photos included to help with wing-tail length analysis. COHU photo ML141489051 in report S52858994 is an interesting study versus this bird, especially the wing and tail positions. Reviewers' opinions definitely invited.
